thursday night, danielle and i went out to hancock street--half door, bad abbots, paddy barrys, and fuji. fuji sushi, mmmmm. danielle had some plum wine--interesting but a little too sweet for me. we talked about everything--we email everyday, but it's still nice to hang with your girl in person. friday night ahlintun kelly took danielle to the red sox game and laurie and i met them at the baseball tavern afterwards... the baseball taven is cute! you should go. there's a roof deck that's kind of supposed to look like fenway.
saturday night, after much deliberation, danielle and i swung by megang's labor day party for a bit.
danielle and amanda's entrance to megan's party
megan: [yelling]
whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup! it's my girl! whooooooooo! whoooooooooo!
amanda: [thinking] aw, what a nice reception for me, that makes me feel so good.
megan: [clearly cheering for danielle and not me] danielle, i love your boyfriend, he is so funny, danielle, danielle.
amanda: [thinking] i see.
WHATEVER, it was funny. the party was fun, i got to point out a few people to danielle, like ering's boyfriend dux and sm's mom and molly's boyfriend. afterwards we went to the half door and bad abbots--we wanted to go the marina but it was way too cold. at half door danielle threw my drink on the floor and at bad abbots we (i--with danielle's help) practiced being nice and talked to a bunch of people (boys). being nice is fun! being bitchy is bad. being nice you get to talk to people. being bitchy you just scowl all the time. scowling=bad, talking to cute boys=fun. danielle should teach a class. Bars 101: How to talk to boys and spot fake moustaches at 100 paces, A Seminar with Professor Danielle.
on sunday i went and had dinner with danielle and her family, which was lovely and delicious, even though i was very, very hungover. we had steamers and steak and lobsters and corn and potato salad and dips and ritz and cheesecake and cupcakes and it was delicious and fun. danielle's dad and her uncle sang alot, which i loved, and michael bouble and garth brooks dueled to the death. ;)
don't worry if you didn't see a sister while she was home, because she will be back for thanksgiving!
